Student Reflections on Year 7 and Year 8
Year 7 and Year 8 Feedback | Option Programme
Options gives us the opportunity to be creative, have fun and learn lots of new things. I am learning how to code and how to 3D print. In one option am learning about ancient stories of the Maori.
In Korean I am learning to say hello and thank you. I am looking forward to learning more words in Korean. In science we do experiments, use a meths burner and make smoke.
I love learning Korean. I’m learning lots about conversation. I look forward to Korean every week.
In options I am learning coding and 3D printing. Last term I did sport science which really helped me improve.
I really enjoy our options programme where we learn heaps about lots of things.
I love options because I get to do experiments and play with fire.
I like options because we get to blow stuff up.
I like using the Bunsen burners in science.
Community Services and Education Outside the Classroom
We are learning how to protect our natural environment. I am also looking forward to winter sports day. Our year 7 and 8 camp was a blast, we did so much stuff. My highlight was meeting the breakers.
For community services this year I wen to Limestone island where I helped to clean the island and learnt lots of interesting facts.
For community service I organise lunchtime sport like capture the flag and basketball.
For EOTC we went to the Adventure Forest and we also do things that help our environment.
I enjoyed Pukenui Forest because of the view and we learnt lots of new things, and saw lots of trees.
For community services I went to the quarry gardens which I really liked.
You learn a lot on the trips we do and you have a lot of fun at the same time.
Science Fair
I’m loving science fair. I’ve already written down all my questions and done lots of research. I hope I can do it again next year.
I am looking forward to science fair because my topic is dolphins and I think I will find lots of interesting information.

Friendships
There is not a singly bully in this school. Everyone at this school is super dupa nice. I get a hi every morning from at least 6 people.
The children at this school are very friendly and there are no bullies. They are super supportive. I love it.
When I go to lunch or morning tea I have people who hang out with me. At my old school I had no-one to hang out with.
What I enjoy about this school is that everybody is nice and friendly.
I have made some good friends over the last two terms.
My friends are really nice and I would never want to leave.
This is the best year out of my three years at this school.
